StudioForty9 were invited to the e-guide launch of Sustainable Irish Retail Action (SIRA) on the 8th of June 2022 in Dublin.
The evening started off with Vice Admiral (Rtd) Mark Mellett, Ireland's former Chief of Defence presenting a somewhat jarring recap of the changes we've seen over the past few decades and what our future might look like if we don't take immediate action to help combat climate change.
Next Sonya Lennon hosted a panel discussion with Tara Clifford (Supervalu), Fiona Matthews (Applegreen), Patricia Macieira Kane (Reuzi) and Alan Makim (AIB) where they discussed the challenges and opportunities that comes with moving to a more sustainable outlook for your company.
And finally the creators Sharon Yourell Lawlor (Think Plan Do Consulting) and Claire Cogan (BehaviourWise) with partnership from Retail Excellence and sponsorships & support from Vodafone, TapCreative, SuperValu, and AIB and Champion Green walked us through the handbook.
The objective of the handbook is to have a simple, easily understandable point of reference to educate retailers around sustainability, help navigate retailers towards support and funding, and learn tips and advice from some of the great case studies that have been contributed by retailers such as Meaghers, Faerly, Cork Flower Studio and many more.
