HSBC Payment Module with 3D Secure - Compatible with Magento 1.3 to 1.5.0
This module is compatible with Magento 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5.0
Please Note: The module is not compatible with 1.5.1 upwards - we now have an new edition of this extension which is compatible with Magento 1.5.1 and greater.
In Brief:
This module does the API Method Payment with 3D Secure. It will also handle AVS (for Address Verification).
It handles Remote Refunds and Transaction Cancellations from the Magento backend.
Please note, you are purchasing a Commercial Per Domain license. Use of the Extension is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the license.
Once you have made your purchase you will immediately receive the Module and License by email. This email will be sent to the address associated with your PayPal account.
Please Note:
This module is for the remote HSBC API method - not the redirect CPI method.
How this module deals with the 3D Secure Redirect
When a customer is ready to pay, and has already entered credit card details on the merchant's site, upon clicking the "Place Order" button the customer is redirected to the HSBC website. If they have a 3D Secure enabled card they are asked to enter the authorisation passphrase at this point. They are then re-directed back to the merchant website to a success or failure page.

A word about EU V.A.T.
As a business based in Ireland we are obliged to charge V.A.T. at 23%.
The V.A.T. is applied during the payment process by PayPal based on your billing address. If you are not based in the E.U. you will not be charged V.A.T.
If you are not based in Ireland, and you have a valid V.A.T. number for the EU you may enter it during the payment process. There is a link called "Add special instructions to Merchant" just under the item description on the order review page, which you can use to do this easily. We will validate the number and refund the V.A.T. paid to your PayPal account and supply you with an invoice to this effect within 1 working day.
We will use this V.A.T. Validation Tool to validate your European Union V.A.T. number so you may want to check to make sure you supply the number to us correctly!
